Minh Nguyen


In the winter of 2008, after graduating from the University of California, Irvine, Minh Nguyen joined Thirdway as  the Senior Manager of the Human Rights Centre.  His also a Director of THREAD America. He holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy, specializing in moral and political philosophy, and is currently researching issues in agency, responsibility and global justice. He studied philosophy as well as biochemistry as an undergraduate at the University of Washington.
 
Before working for Thirdway, Minh taught at John Jay College in NYC. There he taught courses in composition, introduction to philosophy and law and ethics.  As a graduate student at the University of California, Irvine, Minh helped teach a wide range of courses, from history and literature to applied ethics and introduction to ethics.
 
He was eager to join Thirdway owing to its work on 3rd world economic development and human rights. His education and moral commitments urged him to lend his energy to developing the capacities of citizens in the 3rd world.
