Education
Hello and welcome to the Education department for Thirdway!
Members of our Education department include those working with support and the direct administration of Klaas Haven in Ghana and our flexible volunteers and researchers.
As an international NGO dedicated toward the economic and social uplifting of all peoples and the construction of a personal ethos that respects and celebrates individual uniqueness we understand and value the importance of education. Education is a social mobilizer and the stepping stone to opportunity and Thirdway's focus on making educational opportunities available to all people in Ghana is a central component of our efforts to better the lives of all Ghanaians and all peoples who are faced with an uphill struggle in their journey toward flourishing.
The cornerstone of our most recent work is construction and growth of the Klaas Haven School first started in 2001 and situated in the Kasoa Township in the central region of Ghana. The school serves a range of children between the ages of 3-15 years. The School Complex is in the process of an expansion to serve more students. A significant portion of Klaas Haven School is funded by donations and the school leadership consists of volunteers from the Ghanaian capital, Accra.
Researchers in our Education department are primarily responsible for efforts to improve the operation of Klaas Haven through the investigation and implementing of best practices and with efforts, in cooperation with the Fundraising department, to fundraise for the School and future educational initiatives.
